Nexus 5 smartphone – on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system — has landed in India for purchase, LG and Google said on Wednesday.
Nexus 5, which is available on Google Play starting today, is priced at Rs 29,999 for 16 GB version and Rs 33,999 for 32 GB version.
Meanwhile, PTI reported that Nexus 5 phone ran out of stock within hours of listing for sale in India. Shortly after the devices went on sale, the Google Play store displays the message: “We are out of stock. Please check back soon.”
Recently, Apple iPhone 5s also faced similar experience as the company had limited stock to offer in India.
Key specifications of Nexus 5 include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 2.26GHz Quad-Core Krait CPU, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 5-inch (actual 4.95-inch) full HD IPS (1920 x 1080 pixels), CDMA/1xRTT/EVDO, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WCDMA/HSPA+, LTE, 32GB / 16GB memory, 2GB RAM, Rear camera 8.0MP with OIS / Front 1.3MP HD, 2,300mAh Li-Polymer embedded battery, 137.84 x 69.17 x 8.59mm size, 130g, wireless charging and NFC.
Nexus 7 (2013) tablet is also now available in India for purchase at a price of Rs 20,999 (16GB model only Wi-Fi), Rs 23,999 (32GB only Wi-Fi) and Rs 27,999 (32GB Wi-Fi+LTE+HSPA+).
