Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi + 3G priced at Rs 13,999 in India

The price of Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi + 3G in India will be Rs 13,999. The new e-reader is now available for pre-orders, amazon said.

Kindle Paperwhite will be priced at Rs 10,999.

Amazon India said shipment begins from February 4, 2014.

Both e-readers will also be available offline across 250 retail outlets across India including Croma, Reliance Digital, E-Zone, UniverCell and Vijay Sales stores located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Pune.


Kindle Paperwhite has features such as better selection selection, lowest book prices, advanced reading features, customer service, personalized recommendations, customer reviews, instant dictionary look-up, Whispersync, Buy Once, Read Everywhere, etc.

Kindle Paperwhite’s display comes with higher contrast and better reflectivity to ensure that pages are virtually indistinguishable from a physical book.

Built-in light enables users to read comfortably without eyestrain.

Kindle Paperwhite has 25 percent faster processor and books open and pages turn faster for a seamless reading experience.

In addition, 19 percent tighter touch grid makes Kindle Paperwhite respond more accurately to the smallest touches.

New Vocabulary Builder enables users to compile words you look up in the dictionary into an easy-to-access list. Use these lists to quiz yourself with flashcards and instantly see words in context.

It has a full dictionary and Wikipedia so you can access definitions, characters, settings and more without leaving your page or losing your place.

The new e-reader features new In-line Footnotes. With a single tap, read the complete text of each footnote in-line without changing the page or losing your place in the book.

FreeTime lets you create personalized profiles for kids and give them access to titles from your collection of books. Children are rewarded with achievement badges that keep track of their personal reading accomplishments.
