ASUS Zenfone Live gets price cut, available for INR 7,999

ASUS has announced the price cut on ZenFone Live smartphone. The phone is now available for the price of INR 7,999, a difference of INR 1000 from the earlier price of INR 8,999. The said device now becomes company’s one of the cheapest smartphones in India. ZenFone Live was launched in May 2017.

According to ASUS, “ZenFone Live is the world’s first smartphone with hardware-optimized, real-time beautification technology engineered into the BeautyLive app, enabling users to live-stream more glamorous versions of themselves.” The company also said that the price reduction will be across all the major E-tailers and Retailers including Asus exclusive stores across India.

Specs and features

The handset features a 5-inch HD 720×1280 pixels IPS display. Furthermore, display sports Bluelight filter for eye protection. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (model unspecified) coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.

ZenFone Live marks five-magnet speaker with smart amplifier. On the camera front, the device has 13-megapixel Pixel Master rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and fine-tuned selfie camera.

The phone faces competition with the likes of Moto e 4th generation, Samsung J2 and Honor 8 in the entry-mid-level smartphone market segment. The reason for the price cut is not confirmed.
