Xiaomi has finally launched the much-anticipated smartphone Redmi Note 5 in India. The device is the successor of highly successful Redmi Note 4, which company claims as the best selling smartphone in the country in 2017.

Redmi Note 5 comes with a few new specs compared to its predecessor. In comparison to Redmi Note 4, the notable change in the device is its display. The phone sports 5.99-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio an 1080×2160 resolution. It marks metal body design with a Fingerprint sensor on the back. The handset comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 3GB and 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB internal storage respectively.
Talking about the camera, the Redmi Note 5 features a 12MP rear camera (1.25μm pixels) with an aperture of f/2.2. On the front, it has a 5MP camera with LED flash and Beautify 3.0 beautification. The LED flash in front gives the phone an extra edge over its rivals.
The smartphone is priced at INR 9,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and INR 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Redmi Note 5 is available in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue color variants. The device will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Mi.com starting 22 February.
