Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Redmi 6 and, Redmi 6A in China. Both the phone falls in the budget smartphone category and will be available for buy starting June 15.
The handset features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. On the processor front, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor. In terms of Camera, Redmi 6 has a 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera and a 5 MP sensor on the front with AI-powered face unlock feature.
The device runs on the MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. Talking about the price, Redmi 6 priced at CNY 799 (around Rs 8,200) for 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and CNY 999 (around Rs 10,000) for 4 GB RAM+ 64 GB storage variant.
It packs a 3,000 mAh battery and fingerprint sensor on the back.
On the other hand, Redmi 6A has a same 5.45-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Helio A22 SoC, clocked at 2.0GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.
The handset sports a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP sensor on the front with face unlock feature. Redmi 6A carries a 3,000 mAh battery. It costs CNY 599 (around Rs 6,000).
The launch of the smartphones in India is not announced by the company yet. However, if rumors are to be believed, the devices might launch in next couple of months in the country.
