Xiaomi has officially launched two budget smartphones, Redmi 5 and Redmi 5A in India. The mentioned devices are entry-level smartphones.
Redmi 5A is the company’s cheapest phone in India with the price tag of INR 4,999 for 2GB version and INR 5,999 for 3GB version. On the other hand, Redmi 5 price in India has been not confirmed by the company yet. Presumably, it will cost around INR 7,800 for 2GB version and 8,800 for 3GB version. The prices mentioned are based on the price of the phone in China.

Redmi 5A specs and features
The phone comes with a metallic matte finish and features Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. It has 5-inch HD display, 3000mAh battery, 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. The handset is available in three colors: gold, dark grey, and rose gold. Redmi 5A has a competition with Micromax Bharat 5 in budget smartphone market segment.

As mentioned earlier the phone is available in two variants, 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. The smartphone features a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with rounded corners. Redmi 5 is Xiaomi’s cheapest 18:9 aspect ratio display device.
It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC processor. Furthermore, the handset has 3300mAh battery, 12MP primary and 5MP front-facing camera. Redmi 5 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat.
