MWC 2014: Lenovo new S-Series Smartphones to be available from June 2014

At the 2014 Mobile World Congress Lenovo unveiled new smartphones in its popular S-Series.

The new S-Series range comprises S860, S850 and S660. The series features sleek design and boasts superior quad-core computing power and longer battery life.

The price of Lenovo S860, S850 and S660 start at $349, $269 and $229, respectively, and will be available in select markets and starting from June 2014.

While S860 focuses on mobility and productivity, S850 could be more like a fashion statement. The stylish S660 is an all-rounder that blends fashion and function, Lenovo said.

Lenovo  new S-Series Smartphones

Lenovo, the #3 smart connected device maker worldwide as per Gartner report: “Market Share Analysis: Mobile Phones, Worldwide, 3Q13”, November 2013, has succeeded in launching smartphones in 25 countries in the past two years.

The new S-series smartphones are powered by quad-core MTK processors and running Android 4.2.

The S860 and S660 boast longer battery life. S860 features standby time of up to 40 days and talk time of up to 24 hours on 3G connections. S660 also boasts longer battery life for all-day usage.

In addition to these the S-Series features sharp image capture functions (S850) and Lenovo’s range of DOit apps. The devices come with dual SIM capability as well as wide-angle front cameras and flash-equipped rear cameras to snap and share amazing photos.

Featuring a 5.3-inch HD screen, the S860 meets busy professionals’ needs with quad-core computing and 2GB of RAM for responsive multitasking among applications. The S860’s high-capacity battery even allows users to charge their other devices on-the go by using the included micro USB cable.

S850 is marked by its thin and lightweight all-glass exterior, available in pink or white. The sleek design encases a true mobile machine with a MTK quad core processor, 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras and a large 5-inch screen for watching content in high definition.

The compact 4.7-inch Lenovo S660 smartphone offers three key features: a striking brushed metal design, long battery life for all-day usage and a wallet-friendly price. It has up to 32GB with microSD cards and a comfortable rear cover, making the S660comfortable to hold and fingerprint and scratch resistant, the company said.
