Lava International announced a new 3G smartphone powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor along with 512MB RAM for the Indian mobile market. Priced at Rs 6,499, 3G 402+ will enable Lava to tap 3G customers who are migrating from their 2G networks.
The phone is available in Metallic Grey, Metallic Brown, Ivory White colour.
Lava International is one of the handset vendors which are looking for a place in the top 5 smartphone list in India. Currently, Indian mobile phone market is dominated by Samsung, Micromax, Karbonn, etc.
3G 402+ Android smartphone is an upgrade of its existing 3G 402 model. Lava claims that the new 3G phone comes with enough hardware and software upgrade.
The launch assumes importance because mobile Internet is receiving significant demand among India’s youth population.
In the new version, Lava upgraded its RAM. The new mobile internet phone 3G 402+ has 512MB of RAM against 256MB in the earlier version. Lava is tapping the gaming enthusiasts with the new phone with the upgraded RAM and processor.
Besides 1.2GHz dual core processor and 512MB of RAM, main specifications of 3G 402+ smartphone include Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system, 4 inch WVGA screen, 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, GPS/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity options
Both the first and second version smartphones have the same camera — 3-megapixel camera and a VGA front camera for video calling.
The smartphone features application Shake that can be used to accept the incoming calls by shaking the handset instead of tapping the handset. Its Keyboard magnifier feature can be used for easier editing.
