Computex 2014: Acer launches 8-inch Iconia Tab 8

Acer has launched the Acer Iconia Tab 8, an 8-inch portable tablet with full HD display.

Acer in a statement said that the tab has HD display with IPS and Zero Air Gap technologies.

Flaunting a slim and sleek design, Iconia Tab 8 offers fast games and videos and web browsing with Intel Atom quad-core processor.  Viewing experience is further enhanced with Zero Air Gap technology, reducing light reflection, bringing higher contrast and delivering brighter, crisper images, as well as better readability under sunlight.

Acer said the tab also has features such as anti-fingerprint coating that reduces messy fingerprints, making it much easier to clean and read. It is equipped with dual speakers for delivering a surround sound effect.

The tab 8 on Android 4.4 (KitKat) features Acer Touch WakeApp which lets users quickly and easily wake up the tab with a simple touch gesture.

The tab keeps users connected to Wi-Fi networks with 802.11a/b/g/n wireless support and MIMO technology brings fast Wi-Fi performance. Users can enjoy up to 7.5 hours battery life when viewing video.
