Acer Liquid S2 smartphone to be unveiled

Acer is planning to launch its Liquid S2 smartphone.

The launch of the latest smartphone will be at Berlin-based electronics trade show IFA this week.

Acer did not reveal its price and timing of the global availability.

The 6-inch smartphone sports HD video, 13MP camera and 4G connectivity.

The latest smartphone from Acer runs on Qualcomm’s quad-core 2.2GHz processor.

It comes with 2GB memory and 16GB of external memory expandable to 128GB.

Acer has tried to innovate its camera features. For instance, smart best shot feature automatically detects the conditions the photo is being taken in and takes multiple shots. Its quick first shot feature allows users to take a picture from the unlock screen.

The device comes with near field communications (NFC) technology.

Recently, Acer announced the launch of its new Liquid Z3 smartphone. Acer Z3 will be available across Europe from mid-August for £79.99.

Acer Z3 has dual-core 1 GHz processor, 3.5-inch display, 4GB internal storage and a 3MP camera.
