Panasonic today announced updates for its Toughbook 31 laptop. The updated version offers 18 hours of battery life and 27 hours with an optional second battery.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor (3 MB cache, 2.3 GHz up to 2.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology).

The updates also include enhanced graphics with the Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics processor.
Other features include a flex-connect quick-release hard drive; sunlight-viewable touchscreen; and a full magnesium alloy case with handle.

The Panasonic Toughbook 31 will be available in February from authorized Panasonic resellers starting around $3,699. The Toughbook 31 includes a standard three-year limited warranty.
The Toughbook 31 offers protection from drops of up to six feet and has an IP65 rating for protection from water and dust.
