Lenovo will launch its Yoga 3 Pro laptop on February 25 in India.
The company will announce its PC marketing strategy at a press meet in Delhi.
In Q3 2014, the India PC market share of Lenovo grew to 16.5 percent from 13.9 percent on quarter-on-quarter.
Earlier, IDC said that the India PC market share of HP has decreased 8.2 percent quarter-on-quarter to 25.5 percent in Q3 2014.
The PC market share of Dell increased to 22 percent from 19.1 percent, Lenovo share grew to 16.5 percent from 13.9 percent and Acer share grew to 12.9 percent from 11.9 percent on quarterly basis.
Lenovo is facing tough competition in the tablet market. It does not want the same pressure in the laptop market as well.
Currently, Lenovo is in the fourth position in terms of tablet market share. The tablet market share of Lenovo in Q4 2014 was 9.4 percent, below iBall, Samsung and Datawind.
According to IDC, iBall is the number one tablet maker in Q4 2014. iBall has displaced Samsung. Both Apple and Micromax are not part of the top five tablet vendor list.
Samsung has a market share of 12.9 percent, while Datawind has 9.6 percent and HP 8.7 percent.
