Apple to replace battery for some 13-inch MacBook Pros

US tech giant Apple has been scrutinized for failure in some MacBooks.

According to reports, failure in the limited number of MacBook Pros has caused the battery to expand; hence the company has decided to offer a free worldwide replacement for such affected MacBooks.

As per the company, the problem occurred in some 13-inch MacBook Pros without touch bars, which were manufactured between October 2016 and October 2017. This issue was addressed by Apple on its support page, however, the company did not give the exact figures of the pieces that are affected due to this problem.

It is worth noting that Apple has recently made it to the news for purposely slowing down the performance of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, and iPhone SE to deal with the software updates.

This news didn’t go down well with the apple users and hence the company had to announce a battery replacement scheme at subsidized rate until December 2018. Under this scheme, they announced to offer battery replacement for above-mentioned models at $29 instead of $79.

Apple is now rumored to launch SE 2 in May.

Stay tuned for more tech updates.
