HTC One mini may be the next smartphone to be unveiled by HTC, the Taiwanese devices major.
As everyone knows, HTC One mini is the smaller version of HTC One smartphone, which did not assist the company to make a profit. HTC, according to its latest quarterly filings, made a net loss of $100 million in the second quarter.
HTC India’s website listed the smartphone some time ago – saying ‘Coming Soon’. But it did not announce the price or launch date officially.
Indian online retailers — Flipkart and Infibeam – are now selling HTC One mini at different prices. The price difference is around Rs 2,000.
Infibeam, an ecommerce site, is taking pre-orders for the smartphone for Rs 35,054, with delivery date of October 11.
Flipkart, rival of Infibeam, is selling the smartphone for Rs 37,299, promising delivery within next 6-7 days.
Rival smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, Google Nexus 4 and Sony Xperia SP can be purchased for approximately Rs 26,000 in the market.
HTC One mini specs
HTC One mini, which did not attract many buyers globally, has a 4.3-inch screen with 1280x720p resolution and 341ppi pixel density. The device runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), topped with Sense 5.0 user interface. HTC is yet to announce the new version of Android.
HTC One mini features a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. It has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and no microSD card support.
The new HTC One mini features a 4MP UltraPixel camera and LED flash on the back and 1.6MP front camera. This phone has a 1,800mAh battery and comes with BoomSound speakers and Beats Audio technology for sound enhancement.
HTC One mini is one of the examples of lack of innovations. HTC One came with good specifications and features. But its smaller version came without any major innovations. The main change was in its dimensions.
