XOLO launches user interface platform HIVE built on Android core

Indian smartphone vendor XOLO on Wednesday launched HIVE, its user interface platform built on an Android core.

Its new octa core smartphone called XOLO 8X-1000 will have HIVE. XOLO 8X-1000 features octa core processor, 2 GB RAM with 16 GB onboard ROM memory, 8MP Exmor R sensor rear camera, 2MP front camera, 5” HD display, etc.

The price of XOLO 8X-1000 with HIVE Inside will be Rs 13,999.

Ease of use and flexibility are the backbone of HIVE that will allow the users to join in and become a part of development team by sharing their ideas.

It gives users the power to CONNECT online with the software development team, share new ideas, and collaborate with like-minded technology enthusiasts, and that’s only the beginning. Development team will select the best ideas based on votes by the community. These ideas will be later rolled out as OTA updates, said XOLO.

XOLO 8X-1000 with HIVE Inside

CONNECT feature under HIVE allows users to report bugs and find service centers. The company offers Credits to every interaction that can be redeemed for digital content and other merchandise.

EDGE, which brings creative community closer to users, provides a platform for the emerging artists in various genres to design exclusive content as themes, ringtones and wallpapers.

XOLO has partnered with a set of Indian designers to create a range of themes like the lock screen, apps, icons, colors, system wide controls, widgets, or the experience within individual apps, etc.
