Samsung launches Galaxy Grand Prime at Rs 15,499

Samsung has extended its Galaxy smartphone portfolio with the launch of new Galaxy Grand Prime smartphone. The device is priced at Rs 15,499.

The smartphone is designed to take high quality group pictures. Grand Prime has a slim and sleek design to fit easily in user’s hands.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is 8.6mm thick and sports a 5 inch qHD TFT display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution.

It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor paired with 1GB RAM. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS  and Samsung’s proprietary Touch Wiz user interface on the top.

It has an 8MP rear camera with AF and LED flash. It is a selfie-focused smartphone with 5 MP front facing camera.

The smartphone has a internal storage of 8GB which is expandable up to 64GB via Micro SD card.

The Galaxy Grand Prime will come with support for 14 regional languages. The smartphone is fueled by a 2600mAh battery enabling up to 10 hours of video playback and 17 hours of talk time.

Earlier Samsung also launched Galaxy Alpha with metal frame in India at Rs. 39,990. The smartphone runs the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

It sports a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display. The handset weighs 115 grams.

It is powered by an octa-core chipset, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, which is non-expandable. The Galaxy Alpha sports a 12-megapixel rear camera and also includes 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs an 1860mAh battery.
