Samsung has announced the launch of Galaxy Alpha smartphone in India. The device is priced Rs 39,990.
With festivities round the corner, smartphone makers are getting ready to grab the market which sees the highest sales during the festive season.
The new metal smartphone from Samsung is listed with a price of $897 or £549 without a contract at Samsung UK website.
Samsung launched Galaxy Alpha globally to compete with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The device is less than 7 mm thick.

Other innovations in the new Samsung smartphone include Ultra-Power Saving Mode, S Health, Finger Print Scanner, Private Mode and connectivity with the latest Samsung Gear Fit, Gear Live and Gear 2 wearables.
