New Sony Xperia M2 to be available from 25 April at Rs 21,990

Sony India has unveiled the new 4G LTE Xperia M2, priced Rs 21,990. The smartphone will be available from 25th April 2014

Xperia M2 was announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress.

The phone is available in three distinct color options: black, white and purple.

The dual-SIM phone features Sony’s engineering expertise in display and camera technologies. The large 4.8” qHD display is perfect for enjoying entertainment content on the largest qHD display in its class, Sony said.

Thanks to Sony’s dual-SIM technology, users can set up both SIM cards independently with custom ring tones and easily choose between SIMs before making calls or sending texts. They can keep both SIMs active and never miss a call, even when talking on one of them.

Xperia M2 group

Xperia M2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPUs for fast performance.

Featuring a 2300mAh battery with STAMINA Mode 3.0., the phone is ideal for long days of heavy usage. Sony claims the phone has a talk time of up to 14 hours 14 min, standby time of up to 693 hours; music listening time of up to 56 hours 49 min and video playback time of up to 8 hours 25 min.

8MP camera with Exmor RS features Autoscene Recognition and HDR. With these features, Xperia M2 is perfect for capturing all of your favorite moments in brilliant quality, Sony said. It also includes Xperia camera apps such as Social live, Timeshift burst and Picture Effect.

Xperia M2 runs Google Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean MR2). The smartphone measures 139.6 x 71.1 x 8.6 mm and weighs 148 grams.

Xperia M2 will be available across all Sony Centers, Xperia Flagship stores and major electronic stores across India, the company said.
