Today Micromax is expected to launch the first Cynogen based device under its YU brand. The price will be confirmed today, but is most likely to fall under 10K price bracket.
The Indian import/ export site, Zauba, lists the yet-to-be-announced YU handset with model number AO5510. The list says the handset was shipped from China earlier this week, and is priced for Rs. 8,301 each.

The pricing however is not confirmed as the website price listings are only declared values, and usually are not same as the market price.
The Micromax YU is expected to feature a 64-bit CPU and will have a custom Cyanogen OS.
The phone is rumoured to be available in the market 2-3 weeks after the announcement.
The company also announced that the device will be exclusively available on Amazon India. Micromax also launched a dedicated website for its YU smartphone showing a countdown to the launch.
The device is rumoured to sport a 5.5-inch HD display and will be powered by a 1.7Ghz MT6592 octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM, with MT6290 modem for 4G LTE.
The device will have 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot. It will boast a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera,
The phone will run Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and will be juiced by a 2500mAh battery. It also has a Snapdragon 615 variant that has FDD-LTE support.
Micromax is the second largest smartphone vendor in India. The company previous week announced the Canvas Selfie.
Canvas Selfie smartphone comes with 13MP Auto Focus front and rear cameras with Sony Sensor, 4.7-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1.7 GHz Octacore processor, 2300 mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM with expandable memory of up to 32GB and Android 4.4 KitKat.
The dual SIM Canvas Selfie gives users the access to a number of features including voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritization etc.
It will be available in online and offline stores starting January second week. The pricing of the phone is not announced.
