Huawei introduces 7Youth2 tablet at Rs 10999

Huawei has introduced MediaPad 7Youth2, a tablet with 7inch display to Indian market, which is available on Amazon, Infibeam and Flipkart at a price of Rs 10,999.

Huawei has recently launched MediaPad 7 Lite and MediaPad 10 Link tablets in India. Listed on Huawei global website in January, MediaPad 7 Youth 2 comes with a 7 inch screen and runs on Android 4.3 with UI.

The device is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor and has voice calling support. Comes with a 4 GB on-board storage and a micro SD card slot, the tablet has a batter of 4100 mAh.


The device offers tough competition to Dell Venue 7 in India, which offers similar features at a slightly higher price. Dell device also has 7 inch display, but runs on 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor.

Both the devices have 3 MP rear and 0.3 front cameras and use same power of battery. However, Dell tablet introduced with Android 4.2 with a facility to update to 4.4.

The difference comes in the price, as Dell tablet is priced at Rs 11,499, which may serve as an added advantage for Huawei tablet in attracting tier 2 and tier 3 customers looking for mid-range tablets.
