HTC is planning to launch its latest smartphone with improved camera and audio features, and its first smartwatch in March, said a Bloomberg report.
The Taiwanese company will release the latest products around the time of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) in Barcelona.
The smartphone — code-named M9 — features a 20-megapixel rear camera and an HTC UltraPixel front camera.
The smartwatch will link with Under Armour fitness service. The proposed smartwatch represents HTC’s latest effort to move beyond the slowing smartphone market after last year’s introduction of the Re action camera.
HTC’s new smartphone resembles last year’s M8 in size and design, with gold, gray and silver options, and features Qualcomm’s eight-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The device includes Dolby Laboratories’ Dolby 5.1 audio technology and HTC’s latest Sense 7 user interface with improved location-based services.
