Indian smartphone market has seen the launch of many 4G LTE enabled phones – both costly and cost effective — in the recent past.
These 4G enabled smartphones allows users to stream data on their device faster than a 3G enabled device. But 4G network is yet to be ready on pan India basis.
Earlier, the 4G connectivity was limited to high-end smartphones, but now users can get the LTE 4G connectivity on mid-range smartphones as well.

Many smartphone vendors have launched their 4G phones before the anticipated expansion of 4G networks by Bharti Airtel and the likely launch by Reliance Jio Infocomm in 2015.
Here is a list of 4G smartphones in the Indian market:
Apple iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus
Apple has launched the smartphone in two variants. Apple iPhone 6 with 4.7 inch Retina HD display whereas the iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5 inch Retina HD display.
They are powered by an A8 processor with second generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture. They sport an advanced 8MP iSight camera and FaceTime HD cameras.
Both phones have LTE connectivity that provides download speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Both iPhones also include 802.11ac Wi-Fi with speeds up to 433 Mbps and Bluetooth 4.0.
LTE, VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling are available through select carriers. Network speeds are dependent on carrier networks.
iPhone 6 is selling at Rs 51,650 while the iPhone 6 Plus is priced at Rs 60,340.
Samsung Note 4
The Galaxy Note 4 is powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset, which packs four 2.7GHz Krait 450 cores and a 600MHz Adreno 420 GPU, and backed up by 3GB of RAM.
It sports a 5.7-inch display. It has 32GB of internal storage and expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
LTE on the Qualcomm version of the Note 4 can download at speeds as high as 300mbps along with 802.11ac wireless.
Samsung has given the Note 4 the same battery as the Note 3 (3200mAh) but it has improved charging times. Users can now charge 50% of the battery in just 30 minutes and it has the same ultra-power saving technology that was built into the S5.
The phone is available at a price of Rs 51,890.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G
The device boasts a 5.5 inch 720p IPS display. It is dual SIM phone that runs on a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6589T octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM.
The Redmi Note sports a 13MP rear camera that supports 1080p video recording, and a 5MP front camera.
It also offers its users 8GB of internal storage and can hold microSD cards of upto 32GB. Powered by Xiaomi’s MIUI OS, Redmi Note has 3100mAh battery.
The 4G version of the Redmi Note is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor. The other specifications are similar except that the Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM phone.
The device is priced at Rs 9,999 and is available via e-commerce marketplace Flipkart.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha
The 6.7 mm body makes Galaxy Alpha the slimmest Galaxy devices ever. The light weight provides users with maximum in-hand grip and control.
The Galaxy Alpha sports a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a Octa Core (Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
The device has 12MP rear camera and a 2.1MP front camera with internal memory of 32GB, Alpha does not have micro SD slot, however.
The smartphone is juiced up by a 1860 mAh battery. Connectivity options of Galaxy Alpha include Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac HT80, MIMO(2×2), Bluetooth: 4.0 BLE / ANT+ USB 2.0 and NFC.
It is selling at a price of Rs 32,330.
Google Nexus 6
The Nexus 6 sports a 5.96 inch Quad HD display, which is bigger than both Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Apple iPhone 6.
It is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor backed up by 3GB RAM.
The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be available in 32GB and 64GB variants.
The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED ring flash and a 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS and 4G.
It is fueled by a 3220 mAh battery which is claimed to last for 24 hours on a full charge. Nexus 6 users can get up to 6 hours of use from only 15 minutes of charging.
It is priced at Rs 43,999.
Sony Z3 Compact
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact sports a 4.6-inch TRILUMINOS display with a resolution of 720x1280p and pixel density of 320ppi.
It is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 2GB RAM. It has internal storage of 16GB, expandable up to 128GB via Micro SD card.
The device is juiced up by 2600mAh with a standby time of 920 hours and talk time up to 14 hours on 3G.
The Xperia Z3 Compact features a 20.7MP rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash and Sony’s G lens.
It shoots with a maximum resolution of 5248 x 3936 pixels (20.7MP) in manual mode, or 3264 x 2448 (8MP) in Superior Auto.
Huawei Honor 6
It is the world’s first Octa-core 4G CAT6 smartphone. It is selling at a price of Rs 17,999.
Huawei Honor 6 comes with 5-inch display and 1920 x 1080 resolution, features the Google Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS.
Similar to the Exynos processors from Samsung, the chip has a Mali T628 GPU and brings LTE support to the phone.
Other features include CAT 6 LTE support, up to 32GB of internal memory and an SD card slot, 5 mega-pixel front camera and Sony IMx214 13 megapixel rear with dual LED flash.
Micromax Yu Yureka
The device sports a 5.5 inch 720p HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 ghz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB RAM. The device runs on Cyanogen OS.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It boasts a 13MP rear camera with Sony CMOS sensor and a 5MP front camera. The phone has landscpe hdr panorama 60 fps slomo modes.
The device has a 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It is fuelled by a 2500mAh li-polymer battery. It also has a custom gallery.
The device will be selling at a price of Rs 8,999 exclusively available through Amazon India.
Microsoft NokiaLumia 638
The NokiaLumia 638 comes bundled with an exclusive offer on Airtel 4G.
The phone sports a 4.5 inch FWVGA display ClearBlack LCD display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 backed by 1GB RAM.
The phone runs on Window 8.1 OS and including one swipe notifications from Action Centre, the new Microsoft Enterprise feature pack, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Camera, and HERE Maps and Drive+.
It boasts a 5MP rear camera and advanced imaging applications like Lumia Camera and Cinemagraph.

Lenovo A6000 supports both LTE bands in India FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) & TDD 2300MHz (Band 40).
The smartphone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 64-bit, quad-core CPU each running at 1.2GHz, 12.7 cms HD (1280×720) IPS panel, 8.2mm thin and weighs 128gms.
