CES 2015: Dell unveils new Windows laptops, tablets

Dell today announced new laptops — XPS, Alienware, Venue and Inspiron – on Microsoft Windows 8.1 platform – at CES 2015 tech show.

The price of XPS 13 will be $799.99, while Dell has priced the XPS 15 with the 4K Ultra HD display at $2,349.

The Alienware 15 will be available at $1,199, while Alienware 17 will be priced at $1,499.

The price of Dell Venue 8 7000 Series will be $399.99.

Dell said Inspiron 15 5000 Series with Intel Real Sense 3D camera will be available at a retail price of $749.99 in the U.S, while Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series will be priced at $1,099.99.

Inspiron 23 All-in-One with Intel Real Sense camera will be available beginning Jan. 6 on Dell.com in the United States starting at $1,599.

The Dell UltraSharp 34 Monitor will be priced at $1,199.99.

XPS 13 and 15

Dell says XPS 13 is the smallest 13-inch laptop in the world. Dell XPS 13 laptop’s battery offers up to 15 hours of run time on a single charge. The laptop’s optional UltraSharp Quad HD+ infinity display, with 5.2mm bezels, boasts 5.7 million pixels. It comes with the 5th Generation Intel Core processors and solid state drives.

Dell XPS 15 features UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD touch display with more than 8 million pixels. Dell claims that this is the highest resolution panel available on a 15-inch laptop today.

Alienware 15 and 17

Dell is targeting gamers with the launch of Alienware 15 and 17 Windows laptops. In addition to the latest gaming technologies, Alienware 15 and 17 Windows laptops have optional Intel Core i7 quad-core processors and NVIDIA GTX 980m graphics.

The new Alienware 15 and 17 are both more than 20 percent thinner than their predecessors. The notebooks enable their graphics cards with 100 percent of their rated wattage to deliver maximum graphics performance when a gamer needs it. Intel Core i7 models will automatically overclock when you plug your laptop into the Alienware Graphics Amplifier.

Dell Venue 8 7000 Series

Venue 8 7000 Series tablet features Intel Atom processor Z3500 series. Dell claims that it is the world’s thinnest tablet at 6mm.

The Venue 8 7000 Series integrates the Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera, which captures a depth map for every picture taken.

Dell Inspiron 7000 and 5000 Series

Dell said Inspiron 15 7000 Series launched at CES will come with the 5th Generation Intel Core processors and a 4K UHD touch display option.

Dell also launched the Intel RealSense 3D Camera Front F200 on the Inspiron 15 5000 Series laptop and Inspiron 23 All-in-One desktop. The 3D camera enables better experience in gaming, entertainment, collaboration and content creation.
