BlackBerry Z30 announced: Another pricey phone?

BlackBerry has finally announced its long-rumored phone – the BlackBerry Z30. This will BlackBerry’s first device with a 5-inch display. Of course, you can call it a ‘phablet’.

Being BlackBerry’s latest flagship, Z30 runs on version 10.2 of the BB 10 OS and is powered by a 1.7 GHz processor.

Just like the BlackBerry Z10, internal memory of 16GB is available on Z30 which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD. Now you’re possibly thinking about the price. All the BlackBerry devices running on BB 10 OS are priced very high, except the Q5 which is priced around Rs 24,000.

We think that this time also, BlackBerry will make its upcoming flagship too pricey.

If you talk about Z30’s features, it comes with stereo speakers, longer battery life, 5-inch Super AMOLED Display and many others. But there is nothing new in the camera. Z30 sports an 8MP rear and 2MP front camera, similar to the Z10.

BlackBerry Z30 specs

  • 140.7 x 72 x 9.4 mm
  • 5-inch Super AMOLED display
  • 2880 mAh ( Li-Ion) battery
  • BlackBerry 10.2 OS
  • 16GB memory (expandable up to 64GB), 2GB RAM
  • 1.7 GHz processor
  • 8MP rear and 2MP front camera
