ASUS Fonepad 7-inch calling tablet and main rivals

ASUS Fonepad 7, a 7-inch calling tablet, will be priced at Rs 17,499. Nexus 7C, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211, iBall Q9703, Simmtronics Xpad Freedom, iberry Auxus CoreX4 3G, Micromax Canvas Tab P650 and Lenovo Idea Tab A3000 will compete with the newly launched device.

Several other low priced and high quality tablets are also available in the Indian smartphone market that is dominated by Samsung.

ASUS Fonepad 7 ME372CG is an updated version of the earlier launched 7-inch Android device.

There are a number of good number of features that come with Fonepad 7. Its main features include 1.2-megapixel front camera, 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a 100 continuous-shot ‘burst’ mode and 1080p Full HD video recording. The 3950mAh battery provides up to 28 hours of 3G talk time; 35 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of video playback.

Nexus 7C tablet specifications include Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS; 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra3 Quad Core processor; 1.2 MP front camera; 7-inch Capacitive Touchscreen; Wi-Fi Enabled; 3G Support; and 4325 mAh Lithium – Polymer battery.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 comes with Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS; 3G and Wi-Fi Enabled; 1 GB RAM with 16 GB user memory; 1 GHz Dual Core processor; and 4,000 mAh battery.

Samsung’s one more tablet is in the same price range. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211 sports Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS; 3 MP primary camera; 1.3 MP secondary camera; 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor; 7-inch TFT Capacitive Touchscreen; Wi-Fi Enabled; expandable storage capacity of 32 GB and 4,000 mAh battery.

iBall Q9703 tablet is yet another device that can rival ASUS Fonepad 7. It features 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 Quad Core processor; HD and Ultra HD video player; 5 MP primary camera; 32 GB expandable storage capacity; Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS; 2 MP secondary camera; Wi-Fi enabled; 9.7-inch HD IPS Capacitive Touchscreen and 8,000 mAh battery.

Simmtronics Xpad Freedom tablet was announced recently. The new tablet features 7.8-inch Capacitive Touchscreen; 5 MP primary camera; 2 MP secondary camera; Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS; 32GB expandable storage capacity;  Dual SIM (3G + 2G); Wi-Fi Enabled; 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and 5,000 mAh battery.

The recently announced iberry Auxus CoreX4 3G tablet comes with expandable storage capacity of 64 GB; Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS; 2 MP primary and 0.3 MP secondary camera; Wi-Fi and 3G enabled; 9.7-inch LCD Capacitive Touchscreen; 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 Quad Core processor and 7,200 mAh battery.

Micromax Canvas Tab P650 tablet is from India’s second largest smartphone maker. It has expandable storage capacity of 32 GB; 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor; Android v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) OS; 5 MP primary camera; 2 MP secondary camera; Wi-Fi enabled; 8-inch Capacitive Touchscreen; FM Radio with recording and 4,800 mAh battery.

Lenovo Idea Tab A3000 Tablet is from Chinese vendor. It features 0.3 MP secondary camera; 5 MP primary camera; Wi-Fi enabled; expandable storage capacity of 32 GB; Android (Jelly Bean) OS; Dual SIM (GSM + GSM); 7-inch Capacitive Touchscreen; 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and 3,500 mAh battery.

Fonepad 7 is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology for seamless multi-tasking performance with Android 4.2. The 7-inch display has a crisp 1280 x 800 resolution with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology for wide viewing.
