Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones have received more than 4 million pre-orders in China.
Incidentally, Apple is also going for pre-orders in the Indian mobile phone market from today. iPhone 6 devices are expected to be available in India on October 17.
The overwhelming response to Apple devices is despite negative publicity the company received for the bending iPhone 6 Plus.
Media reports from China say telecom operators such as China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom have received 1 million pre-orders, while the balance 3 million came from online / offline channels.
This indicates the diminishing support from telecom operators. Chinese telecom are committed to lower subsidy expense.
Smartphone users started giving pre-orders for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from September 30. Among the pre-orders, JD .com reported 2.7 million, which includes 1.4 million iPhone 6 Plus models. Chinese telecom operators together reported 1 million and the rest belonged to other outlets such as Suning.
