Amazon unveiled the new Fire OS 4 Sangaria, the software that powers Amazon’s Fire devices.
The new Fire OS version improves from its previous versions. The new OS has a changed user interface that delivers easy and fast access to user’s books, songs, videos, and games.
Fire OS 4 updates the visual design of the UI and adds Profiles so each user can have their individual email, Facebook and Twitter accounts, display settings, bookmarks and game levels.

“Fire OS 4 improves in both of these areas, and deeply integrates software, content, and the Cloud to deliver services that are only available from Amazon, including Family Library, Firefly, and free cloud storage for photos,” said Dave Limp, senior vice president, Amazon.
Fire OS 4 is based on KitKat and adds features and services. Fire OS includes a feature called ASAP (Advanced Streaming and Prediction) which predicts the movies and TV episodes user will want to watch and starts them instantly.
Smart Suspend feature develops a device-specific profile for when the tablet is typically not in use and proactively turns wireless off and on to deliver up to 25 percent more standby battery life.
To improve the performance and ease-of-use, Fire OS integrates with Amazon Cloud. It also helps to enable cross-platform syncing, and to power services that require more processing.
