Acer launches Aspire V Nitro series notebooks and laptops

Taiwanese company Acer has announced the new Aspire V Nitro notebook series Windows laptops.

The new series will attract the users looking forward to powerful computing and improved gaming experience, the company said.

The new laptops have a sleek design measuring under 2.5 cm with impressive features and cutting edge graphics. These laptops are mainly focused on multimedia and gaming for realistic entertainment.

The new Aspire V Nitro series laptops will be available in 15 inch and 17 inch variants with new 4K2K and WQHD displays which provide extra pixels. These displays have In-Plane Switching technology from Acer which gives the users a wide viewing angle to see the screen clearly from a variety of angles.

The lid of the laptop is built with soft touch Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) technology and a durable metal finish with a textured lid and a red-backlit keyboard.

The laptops will be powered by 4th and 5th Gen Intel Core processors with NVIDIA GeForce graphics up to GTX 860M.

The Nitro series will feature DustDefender, a special dust removal design that uses high speed metal fan to remove internal dust and helps enhancing the performance of the laptop and keeping it cool.

These devices will also feature 2×2 MIMO WiFi to increase the WiFi speed and Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Dialog Enhancement supported speakers with 8W amplifier. All Aspire V Nitro models sports a 1080p IPS anti-glare display.

Acer will also make a special Aspire V Nitro Black Edition. The laptops will first be available in Europe in the third quarter this year, and will be in U.S. later this year.

These laptops will have a Turbo mode which can be activated manually for heavy use. It speeds up the fan by 19% and lowers the CPU/GPU temperature by 11%. The laptops will have up to 1TB of hard drive storage with the option for 256GB SSD storage.

The Aspire V Nitro series will first be available in Europe in the third quarter of 2014. The 15-inch model will be priced at €699 and the 17-inch will be available at €799. The starting price for the 15-inch Black Edition model will be €899 and the starting price for the 17-inch Black Edition model will be €999.

Acer will start the Nitro notebooks sales in the third quarter of 2014 in select countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
