4G variant of Galaxy S5 now available at Rs 53,500

Samsung Electronics has introduced the 4G variant of its latest flagship, Galaxy S5 in India at a price of Rs 53,500.

The Galaxy S5 4G device will also come with the Rs. 10,000 upgrade offer to allow consumers to upgrade to the 4G device. The device will be available in all 4G service enabled markets in India from July 20 onwards.

The 4G smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm 8974 Pro 2.5 Ghz processor and supports eight 4G LTE bands. Galaxy S5 has features such as 16 MP camera, IP67 protection for Dust and Water Resistant and Ultra Power Saving Mode.

The device also has 16 GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB through an SD card and a 2800 mAh battery, offers 390 hours on standby mode.

The 4G variant also adds features such as Download Booster and Wi-Fi MIMO. The Download Booster lets users access 4G and Wi-Fi simultaneously. Consumers can simultaneously download files by turning on the 4G and Wi-Fi together and experience faster speed with combined network.

Galaxy S5 4G will be available in Copper Gold, Charcoal Black and Shimmery White colour options. In addition to this, Samsung and Airtel have tied up to make a special data offer to Samsung S5 customers. All existing and new Airtel 4G subscribers will get 5GB 4G data/month free for 2 months.
