Xiaomi Mi 7: What we know so far

Xiaomi is reportedly planning to hold an event in April to launch Mi 7 smartphone alongside with Mi Mix 2S.

It is worth noting that the company has recently launched Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The smartphone is said to be the successor of Mi 6.

Xiaomi Mi 7 is likely to mark glass and steel body similar to the Mi 6. It is expected to come up with a 5.65-inch or a 5.99-inch Full HD+ bezel-less display with 1080×2160 resolution.

The company has already confirmed that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and might be coupled with 8GB RAM. It perhaps makes Mi 7 the world’s first phone to come up in the pair of Snapdragon 845 and 8GB RAM. The smartphone will be company’s first to support wireless charging feature

Mi 7 might carry 16MP+16MP dual rear camera with 16MP sensor on the front. It will run on the Android Oreo-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box and powered by a 4480mAh battery. The phone is likely to cost around $500-$600. Xiaomi Mi 7 will compete with OnePlus 5T in this price segment.
