Sony to launch new Xperia flagship smartphone in early 2018?

The upcoming high-end smartphone from Sony is rumored to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.

Snapdragon 845 is the latest chip of Qualcomm and dubbed as the most processor of the company. According to FirstPost, Snapdragon 845 marks Kryo 385 chip cores clocked at 2.8 GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.

Sony’s new flagship might be called Xperia Z2, which could launch in early 2018. The upcoming top-end smartphones from other manufacturers are also rumored to feature the same processor. Some of them include Samsung Galaxy S8, OnePlus 6, LG G7 and XiaomiMi 7.

The new smartphone from Sony was recently leaked with the model number called H8216. The alleged smartphone is expected to mark 5.48-inch Full-HD display. The leaks suggest that the handset will have a dual-rear camera with the combination of 12MP and 15MP sensor.

In terms of storage, the upcoming device would sport 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It might run on the Android 8.1 Oreo.

The leaked flagship is further expected to have 3130 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ technology. Speculations also indicate that it will come up with IP68 certification (water and Dust resistant). The official price and release date of the phone are not known yet.
