No OnePlus X2, OnePlus 6 launch confirmed

Putting all speculations and rumors aside, OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei has confirmed that OnePlus X2 will not be launched. Carl has announced it via his Twitter handle with the caption “Nope.” Notably, he also shared an article, saying, “Fake news is a huge threat to human civilization. Let’s all do our part in stopping it.” It is worth mentioning that recently, reports on the internet surfaced online regarding the launch of OnePlus X2, which apparently turn out to be fake.

Earlier, OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau has confirmed the launch of OnePlus 6 in Q2 of 2018. The firm will launch the device before June 30 this year. Lau has also hinted that the smartphone will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB or 8GB RAM. He said that company does not have any choice apart from the mentioned chip.

OnePlus 6 is also expected to mark edge-to-edge Optic AMOLED display. Nothing else is confirmed regarding the flagship in terms of more specs and features. The device will rival upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9, LG 7 and other high-end smartphones.

Stay tuned for more tech updates.
