If rumors are to be believed, Microsoft might launch Surface Phone in 2018. It will be the Flagship phone of the U.S. tech giant. The recent reports suggest that Microsoft is preparing to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Satya Nadella earlier said that Microsoft wants to build “ultimate mobile device” ever, reported Forbes in November 2016.

According to Wccftech, “Microsoft recently published a position at a job website requiring a ‘Hardware Test Engineer’ or ‘Manufacturing Engineer.’ It is speculated that the engineer will also be responsible to sport the Snapdragon 845 into the gadget, but which gadget? It is still not clear. Meanwhile, there are chances that it might be much-anticipated Surface Phone, which is going to be powered by the said processor. In case the rumored phone sports Snapdragon 845, it will certainly be the Microsoft’s answer to Apple of its A11 Bionic chip.

Expected specs and features

Microsoft Surface Phone might come up with the bezel-less aluminum design. The smartphone would have 6GB RAM with 256GB internal storage and might run on Andromeda (OS). The upcoming flagship is likely to sport dual-lens camera coupled with the 3D feature, similar to iPhone X. The handset is expected to have water and dust resistant body.

Surface Phone will compete with the likes of Apple iPhone X, Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S8. Price and official launch date of the phone are not confirmed. Stay tuned for more tech updates.
