LG G7 might feature IRIS scanner

LG is rumored to launch G7 in January 2018 during CES. Recently, the patents of the phone surfaced online through LetsGoDigital. The leaks suggest that the Flagship might come up with IRIS scanner for security purpose.

The security feature will not be limited to locking and unlocking of the phone. Reports suggest that IRIS scanner will also protect the user’s data stored in the device. It will also secure some selective apps. It is worth mentioning that Galaxy S8 has also featured the IRIS scanner while iPhone X marks Face Detection ID for security purpose.

LG G7 is expected to sport curved-edge bezel-less display design. On the processor front, it will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip while the current G-series flagship comes with Snapdragon 835 SoC.  In terms of storage, it might sport 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. Furthermore, LG expected to feature Dual-lens camera setup. However, not much details are known regarding the same.

LG has not confirmed the price and official release date of G7 yet. It is speculated that handset might cost around $900. It will compete with the likes of upcoming Galaxy S9. Nothing else is known regarding the phone. Stay tuned for more tech news and updates.
