CES 2015: Cobra brings bundle of devices

Cobra Electronics today announced the availability of new devices at the 2015 International CES (CES 2015).

The company will introduce the Drive HD Dash Cam, the Cobra CDR 825E, SPXc Series radar detection systems and the Cobra JumPack, its portable powerpack.

The company will unveil Two-Way Radios, Marine Radios and Citizen Band Radios along with fourth generation professional navigation system, Cobra 8500 PRO HD.

The CDR 825E Drive HD Dash Cam sports a 2.7 inch LCD screen, along with an extra wide 140 degree viewing angle.

The device uses Continuous Loop Recording, which optimizes storage by automatically deleting old video clips to make room for the new.

It records in 1080P Full HD Video using an Ambarella chipset and has a memory of 8GB via microSD card. The CDR 825E is available now for $149.95 at company’s official website.

The Cobra SPX 5000 Series of radar detection system includes three models — the SPX 5300, SPX 5400 and SPX 5500.

The device features Auto Mute, LaserEye 360-degree laser detection, Intellimute/Intellimute Pro, UltraBright Data Display, Five-level signal strength meter and selectable City and Highway modes.

Compatible with the SPX 7800BT, Cobra iRadar is one of the world’s largest and most active community-based detection systems with more than 40,000 user-generated reports per day and nearly one million users.

The SPX Series is available now at retail prices ranging from $99.95-$249.95.

Cobra JumPack features a 200A starting current, 400A peak current, 2.1 Amp USB Output and a 7500 mAh Li-Cobalt battery with an LED battery status indicator.

The Cobra JumPack is selling for a retail price of $129.95.

Cobra’s Two Way Radios lineup includes the Cobra 100 and 300 Series and its rugged, All-Terrain TWR radios including the 500, 600 and 1000 Series.

The devices include call alerts and Micro-USB charging capabilities. These models are available now for retail prices ranging from $49.95-$99.95.

Cobra’s Marine Radio lineup includes the MR HH500 and All-Terrain MR HH450 Dual, embed Cobra’s Rewind-Say-Again feature to play back the last 20 seconds of any incoming audio, as well as GMRS channel Dual-Band functionality.

These models also have Lithium Ion Polymer battery, NOAA weather radio, S.A.M.E. Weather Alert filtering and a rapid charger. The Marine radios marine radios are available now with retail prices ranging from $49.95-$149.95.

Cobra will also unveil the Cobra 8500 PRO HD, fourth generation professional navigation system. Models available are now with retail price ranging from $269.95-369.95

It includes Truck-Specific Map Data Coverage with complete STAA National Highway Network & State Access Roads, National Bridge Inventory List and National HazMat Route Registry data and is also compliant with all FMCSA guidelines.

The company also announced it is expanding its product lineup in China with the addition of high-performance SPXc Series radar detection systems.

The SPXc Series includes the high-performance SPXc 5500, SPXc 5600 and SPXc 5700 with features such as Intellshield advance false signal rejection, auto mute, laser eye 360 degree laser, ultrabright icon display.

The SPXc 8000G offers up-to-date speed camera location data available via Internet, location alerts via GPS, UltraBright blue LED alphanumeric display.
