Samsung has announced the launch of India’s first ever digital education store, Samsung Smart Learning. The new Samsung Smart Learning will provide interactive study material to the Indian students.
Educational needs of over 70 million students studying in classes 1st to 12th for CBSE board and another 4.5 million students will be fulfilled under the education solution.
Samsung Smart Learning is a software-based solution will fulfill educational needs of students who are preparing for competitive examinations. The solutions will be augmented to include other school boards, higher education and skill building content.
“Samsung Smart Learning Solutions is a first-of-its kind service innovation in India which has the potential of revolutionizing the educational landscape in the country,” said Tarun Malik, Director, Media Solutions Center, Samsung.
Samsung is looking at bundling the solution along with its tablets for schools in the country.
Students will be able to access their study material with the help of Samsung’s App store which comes pre installed for Samsung Galaxy Tablets.
About 7000 stores across India have been equipped to sell education content on the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which will be gradually extended to 10,000 stores, Samsung said.
The digital solution is based on a cloud, students can easily access their study material from any place using online or offline access points.
Samsung has also partnered with some educational institutions such as Delhi Public School, Aakash Institute and Byju’s Classes.
Samsung Smart Learning will provide elaborate multimedia tutorials, interactive lesson based exercises and practice test to the students.
Samsung is also planning to expand the education solution in rural areas through partnering with local organisations.
