Oxigen partners with Café Coffee Day for payment acceptance

Oxigen has announced their exclusive partnership with Café Coffee Day for introducing payments through the wallet. The service will now be available at 1400 CCD outlets.

Users can now pay at Café Coffee Outlets using their Oxigen Wallet and also get a special promotional offer of   Buy 1 get 1 offer  on beverages.

Payment and offer redemptions can be done through the Oxigen wallet mobile app that is available on Android Play store, iTunes or Windows App Store.

This is first offline payment acceptance tie up for Oxigen Wallet. It is India’s first p2p money transfer app that allows you to send and receive money through popular social channels like Facebook , Whatsapp, Twitter etc.

Oxigen Wallet also allows users to send money to any mobile number or bank account in India. It has a user base of 3 million users.

“India’s youth is adopting new services and technologies at a rapid pace and we believe that such offline associations for payment acceptance with further enhance  adoption for our Wallet. We will focus on getting more merchants on board in the near future,” said Ankur Saxena, CEO of Oxigen Wallet.

MobiKwik also offers the digital mobile wallet service to its users. It is estimated to reach the user base of 10 million by November, 2014.

MobiKwik has the largest number of wallet users in the country today. The company is presently focusing on raising $25 Million to further propel its growth.

MobiKwik said its 10 per cent of current revenue is driven by the third-party e-commerce sites and application-based transactions. By March 2015, the company expects these transactions to account for about 30 per cent of the total revenue generated.

The company has also partnered with eBay India and offers an exclusive 15% discount for users who choose to make payments via their MobiKwik wallets.
