Vuclip has unveiled Vuclip App for iOS, allowing iPhone users across the world to access videos from across the world on their Apple devices.
The app is free to download today from the iOS App Store.
Users can benefit from full-length movies and clips, in more than 15 languages across popular genres such as gossip, comedy, movie, news, television, lifestyle and sports.
As part of its strategy to expand content, Vuclip announced partnership with Omnisport, an international sports news agency owned by digital sports content group PERFORM, to bring international sports content to users. The service also includes editorial videos related to 2014 World Cup Soccer.
Footballs can also get daily news updates and profiles of top players such as Ronaldo and Messi.
Important features of Vuclip’s iOS app include live streaming channel that is available 24/7, and an in-player video discovery for non-intrusive delivery of recommendations while viewing a video. Users also get an option to view their favorite video with just a shake of the handset. They can also share to social media.
Earlier in March Vuclip announced updates for its Vuclip App for Android. The updated app provides personalized mobile video viewing experience through a new recommendation engine and social features.
Vuclip’s Android App is ranked four stars by more than 13,000 users and has seen more than 1.6 million downloads, the company said.
“We’re excited to extend the enthusiasm that our users have for Vuclip to iOS, as the world moves towards smartphones even in emerging markets,” said Nickhil Jakatdar, founder and CEO of Vuclip. “Our excitement about mobile video is perhaps only paralleled by our enthusiasm for the World Cup, so we are thrilled to bring the two together!”
