Five new BlackBerry apps for book lovers

BlackBerry has unveiled a new set of reading apps at BlackBerry World.

Bookly is a free e-book reader and downloader useful for students and professionals. It contains books under popular catalogs such as Adventure, Art, Business, Computer, Classic, Drama, Education, Economics, Fairy Tales, Geography, Health, History, Law, Medical, Mystery, News, Religion, Science, Social, Technical, Travel, etc.

The Backpack pocket client is a BlackBerry10 100 percent native app, offered for Rs 50. The social interactive app now features full Pocket integration, plus extra reading modes.

Reading Glasses is a free app that allows the user to zoom in on small print, items, etc. It has ten levels of zoom.

Kobo, another free eReader app, allows you to browse from over 3.5 million free and affordable titles, including bestsellers, award winners, new releases, classics, and hidden gems. You can add books to your Library from email, the web, or your Dropbox account. You can even read books from your local public library.

Reading Timer, also a free app, provides an estimate of how long it will take you to finish reading your book. It also gives you stats on how quickly you read a page on average.
