The latest mobile app report from ComScore tracks Facebook as the most popular app in US.
Facebook is used by 115 million users monthly whereas Google’s Youtube takes the second spot with 83.4 million users.
Google’s apps rule the top ten spots selecting from over two million apps available in the Apple and Google stores. Android has nearly 85 percent market share of phones worldwide.
The report by US internet analytics company, ComScore, also claims that 52 percent of users spend more time with apps than websites, grew from 40 percent in 2013.
Google Play app secures the third spot with 72 million users monthly. It is a source for Android phone users to get new apps.
To follow was Google search app with 70 million users. Google search app is prominent for Android users.
With 69 million users, the personalized online radio service app, Pandora takes the fifth spot on the list. It makes Pandora the world’s largest radio station.
Bagging the sixth spot was Google Maps app with 64.5 million users to its name. Google Maps are used by Android as well as iOS users frequently for navigation.
The seventh spot was taken by Gmail app with 60 million users. The app makes iteasier to insert attachments and files from Google Drive directly.
Intagram app makes it to eighth spot on the list with 46.6 million users. Facebook owned Instagram is world’s most popular photo sharing app.
There’s a tie between Apple Maps and Yahoo Finance app for the ninth position, as they both bag a share of 42.1 million users.
