Sony has revealed the price of SmartWatch 3, its first Android Wear smartwatch. It is priced at $249.99. It was listed on Gogle Play Store for a month as “coming soon”.
Sony SmartWatch 3 runs on Google’s Android Wear software and sport features like accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and the built-in GPS.
The watch sports a 1.6 inch TFT LCD screen display with a 320 x 320 resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM A7 quad-core processor paired with 512MB RAM.
The SmartWatch 3 has a square shaped dial, measures 36 x 10 x 51mm in dimension and weighs 38gm. It is also water proof.

The device is priced for $249.99, but there are no details available on the smartwatch’s India pricing and launch.
Motorola and LG have already launched their Android Wear smartwatches in India. While Moto 360 was launched at a price of Rs 17,999, LG’s G Watch was launched at Rs 14,999 in June, but later, its cost went down to Rs 6,849.
Samsung has also made the Samsung Gear S available in the U.S. market from November 7. Samsung’s next-generation wearable extends the smartphone experience to users’ wrists through connectivity.
It sports a 2 inch curved Super AMOLED and standalone carrier network connectivity, which allows consumers to stay connected, even when away from their phone.
Users can even speak or type emails, texts or posts from Gear S with both S Voice and a full QWERTY keyboard.
It includes accelerometer, UV sensor, barometer, heart rate monitor, GPS and an IP67 rating for dust- and water-resistance.
