Micromax has announced a strategic collaboration with Intel. The collaboration is aimed at offering high performance mobile phones to the Indian users.
Micromax also launched the Intel powered 8 inch Canvas Tab P666. It is company’s first device to pack Intel’s processor.
The P666 tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom processor Z2520. The tablet has a glass finish design and claims to offer optimum performance to its users.
“Our collaboration with Intel will be instrumental in our vision of creating a range of new mobile devices to meet the needs of both evolved as well as first-time users,” said Vineet Taneja, chief executive officer, Micromax
The device sports a 8 inch WXGA IPS display with 800 x 1200 pixel resolution. It has a 7.9mm sleek glass body.
The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Processor Z2520 with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology backed up by 1GB RAM.
It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and include features such as voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritization etc.
The phone boasts a 5MP rear camera with a 2MP front camera with 8GB internal memory which expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The device is juiced up by a 4400mAh battery and have gravity, proximity, light, motion sensors and accelerometer.

The P666 tablet is available in Black and White colors. It weighs a 310 grams sporting a 7.9mm sleek glass body and offers a powerful back up.
