Taiwanese company Asus announced its Fonepad 7, a 3G calling device, for the Indian market at a price of Rs 8,999.
The Fonepad 7 is a phablet that supports Android KitKat 4.4 OS and sports 7 inch palm sized display. Asus has exclusively partnered with Flipkart to sell the Fonepad 7.
The Fonepad 7 is the renewed version of the original Fonepad tablet which was launched in February this year. Fonepad 7 comes with upgraded specifications.
Asus Fonepad 7 is powered by a 2X2 Intel Atom Multi-Core processor 1.2 GHz with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology with 1 GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB with a microSD card. The tablet comes with 5GB of Asus WebStorage free for lifetime as well the Asus WebStorage Office suite of apps.
The tablet has a 7 inch display with 1024×600 pixel resolution which provides maximum quality to the users while HD viewing or gaming.
The tablet has a 2MP rear camera capable of recording 720p videos and a 0.3MP front camera for video calling. The new ASUS ZenUI interface allow you to capture compelling images in every situation.
Asus Fonepad 7 is 3G enabled and has a dual SIM slot. It has a Wi-Fi and built-in 3G with HSPA mobile data with download speeds up to 42Mbps and uploads of 5.76Mbps. It can also be used for voice calls using the built-in noise-cancelling digital microphone or an optional Bluetooth headset.
The Asus tablet comes with a 3950mAh battery which gives a backup of 10 hours while playing 720p videos and 30 hours of talk time with 3G enabled.
The company said Fonepad 7 takes multi-tasking to a new level by giving user the freedom to run 6 apps simultaneously on screen.
The Asus tablet is a portable device with a 110mm width and comes in four colours (black, white, red and blue). It is built to last with rounded edges and a streamlined chassis which makes it easy to hold with one hand.
