Xiaomi has slashed Redmi Note 4G’ price by Rs 2,000, making it cheaper than its launch price. The device will now be available for Rs 7,999.
The phone will be selling at its new price starting today, and willl be available for purchase from Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal, as well as The Mobile Store and Airtel retail stores.
According to Xiaomi, the new price will bring Redmi Note 4G under the category of affordable 4G LTE smartphone available in the market.
It will go against the likes of Micromax’s Yu Yuphoria, which is selling currently at Rs. 6,999; the Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) 4G, available at Rs. 7,999, and the Lenovo A6000 Plus, priced at Rs. 7,499.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM phone that runs on a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor paired with 2GB RAM. It boasts a 5.5 inch 720p IPS display.
It sports a 13MP rear camera that supports 1080p video recording, and a 5MP front camera.
It also offers its users 8GB of internal storage and can hold microSD cards of up to 32GB. Powered by Xiaomi’s MIUI OS, Redmi Note 4G has 3100mAh battery.
Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot functionality, Bluetooth 4.0, a Micro-USB port with OTG support, and A-GPS.
