Xiaomi, China’s leading smartphone vendor, is planning to launch its flagship Mi4 smartphone in India by the end of the year.
To make the Mi4 compatible with India’s network specifications, Xiaomi is making arrangements to phone’s hardware and antenna calibrations.
Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s India head of operations, said: “The next few things that we will be launching are Mi 4, our flagship product; Mi pad, which is a tablet and Mi Band, a health band. Mi 4 will come to India towards the end of the year.”
The Xiaomi Mi4 is company’s first phone to have a stainless steel frame. It is the fastest processing smartphone. Mi4 runs on the Android KitKat OS and features 3 GB RAM.
Mi4 is a dual SIM smartphone sporting a 5.2 inch full HD LCD capacitive multi touch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
The device is powered by quad core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor supported by Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and Adreno 330 GPU.
Mi4 has the IP67 dust and waterproof technology.
It boasts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 8MP front camera with a internal memory storage of 16 GB which can be further extended to 64GB via Micro SD card.
The smartphone is backed by a removable 3080 mAh Li–Ion battery that can live up for 500 hours on standby, 4 hours on talk time and 57 hours on music play.

Xiaomi is expected to sell the Mi4 through the flash sales conducted by Flipkart, as it did with Mi3 and Redmi smartphones.
