Sony has announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Z4 in Japan. The Z4 will hit the Japanese market this summer.
It will be available white, black, copper, and “aqua green” color variants. The company yet to announce its availability in other markets.
The Z4 has the company’s prior design language. It has a metal body that measures 6.9-mm-thick and weighs 144gms.
It sports a 5.2-inch 1080p LCD screen, and is powered by a 2GHz 8-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and is water- and dust-resistant. It boasts a 20.7-megapixel camera and is fuelled by a 2930mAh battery.
Unlike the Z3, no smaller “Compact” edition has been announced.
Earlier, the company announced its Z4 tablet at Mobile World Congress 2015.
The device packs a 10.1 inch IPS LCD display with 2560*1600 pixel resolution and 299 ppi.
It is powered by a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 processor backed by 3GB RAM.
It runs on Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop) and is IP68 certified – dust and water proof up to 1.5 meter and 30 minutes.
It is equipped with an 8.1MP rear camera and a 5.1 MP front facing camera with 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the device offers WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and microUSB and is juiced by a Li-Po 6000mAh battery.
