Samsung India today announced the launch of two new 4G enabled smartphones in the J Series -Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7. Both devices are aggressively priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively.
Both Galaxy J7 and J5 will be selling exclusively through the e-commerce website Flipkart starting 23 July with pre-bookings starting July 16.
The Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy J5 sports a 5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display.
The Galaxy J7 is powered by a 1.5GHz Exynos octa-core processor, while a 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor powers the Galaxy J5.
Both devices have 1.5 GB of RAM and run Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
Camera wise, both Galaxy J7 and J5 are packed with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera.
The Galaxy J7 has 16GB of internal storage capacity, while the Galaxy J5 comes with 8GB of internal storage. The phones also support memory card for expansion.
One the connectivity front the phones support 4G LTE, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS. The Galaxy J7 is juiced by a 3000mAh battery, while the J5 is fuelled by a 2600mAh battery.
In addition, Games worth Rs 3,200 as game credit from Gameloft and a flip wallet cover worth Rs 800 will be bundled with the phone in addition to 4G offers from Airtel.
