Panasonic Eluga Switch to go against Asus Zenfone 2

Panasonic has announced the launch of its Eluga Switch smartphone. The phone will be selling at price of Rs 19,990.

The highlight of the device is its 3D Audio quality. The audio is powered by JBL 1.2W Dual Front Speakers with Hi-Fi Sound & 3D audio.

The device sports a 5.5 inch FHD IPS OGS FL display protected by Asahi Dragon Trail glass with Oleophobic coating.

It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa core Snapdragon 610 processor clubbed with 2GB RAM. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Reversible UI.

It packs a 13MP rear camera, while there is an 8MP front facing camera on board with 32GB of internal storage capacity.

The phone is juiced by a 2910mAh battery. It measures 152.7×75.14×7.4 mm and weighs 141g. It will be available in gun metal Grey colour.

On the connectivity front, the device offers FC, Android Beam, Wireless Display, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Global Positioning System (A-GPS), FM with RDS.

It also supports USB 2.0 with OTG support for Pen Drive access. The sensors include Gyroscope, Ambient Light sensor, Accelerometer, e-compass, Proximity sensor.

The Eluga Switch will go against the likes of Asus Zenfone 2 and Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual, which fall in the same price bracket.

The Zenfone 2 offers a 5.5 inch IPS display, 2.3 GHz 64 bit Intel Atom quad core processor with 4GB RAM at a price of Rs 19,999.

It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and has dual SIM functionality. It has a 13MP rear and a 5MP front facing camera with 32GB internal and 64GB external storage capacity.

The phone has 4G LTE support and is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.

The Xperia M4 Aqua Dual on the other hand has a 5 inch IPS LCD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa Core (1.5 GHz + 1 GHz ) Processor with 2GB RAM.

It also packs a 13MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP front camera. It has 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB.

It offers 4G connectivity and is backed by a less powerful 2400mAh battery.

The Panasonic Eluga clearly has better specs than the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual, but can face tough competition from the Asus Zenfone 2.
