Oppo has unveiled its new R7s smartphone at an event in Dubai. The company is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the device.
The smartphone will be launched first for the Australian market followed by Singapore and Taiwan among others. There is no word on its arrival to the Indian market.
The Oppo R7s boasts a 5.5 inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080*1920 pixel resolution. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The device has dual SIM functionality and has 4G support. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 2.1 skin on top. C onnectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro-USB, and USB OTG.
The Oppo R7s sports a 13MP pear camera with LED flash and also has an 8MP front facing camera. The internal storage on the device.
The phone is fuelled by a 3070mAh non-removable battery and features VOOC flash charging technology, that claims to offer 2 hours of talk time with 5 minutes of charge.
The Oppo R7s will go against the likes of Asus ZenFone 2, which also features 4GB of RAM and a 5.5 inch full HD display.
Previously the company launched its diamond finished Mirror 5 smartphone in Indian market at a price of Rs 15,990.
It is a dual SIM smartphone that comes with a 5 inch IPS display with 960*540 pixel resolution and 220 ppi. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-Core 64 bit processor with 2GB RAM.
The Mirror 5 relies on the brand new ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1. With self-optimization and Android 5.1, the stability of ColorOS 2.1 has been improved.
It is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera as well. It has 16GB of internal storage capacity.
Mirror 5 automatically takes six snaps, creates and combines them into a 24 megapixel photo.
