OnePlus 6 is one of the most anticipated Android devices of this year. The flagship device
is confirmed to come up with a notch on the top of the display. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has
recently confirmed the news via detailed post saying, the idea was to “maximize the use of the space” on the display. He also tweeted, “Learn to love the notch,” which later got deleted after the fans outcry on the social media.
The notch is reported to house the front-facing camera, LED notification light, earpiece,
and ambient light sensor.
Since the launch of iPhone X, the notch design has been adopted by many companies. Recently, in India, mid-range smartphones like Oppo F7 and Vivo V9 came with the same feature.
Furthermore, OnePlus 6 is expected to launch in May or June this year. It is almost confirmed that the high-end smartphone will carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
Earlier reports suggested that the flagship will be similar to Oppo R15 in terms of design.
Notably, OnePlus 5 also has a strong resemblance with Oppo R11 and OnePlus 5T with R11S, which were launched last year. So it is quite possible that the trend remains the same.
